Hi Sabrina, I wasn't able to leave a comment on your other blog. I like the sabotage post, as well as the food review. thanks, Michael www.drmichaelroth.com
Have read your food review from your link. Post a comment there too.

Ok, allow me to repeat here:

Sabrina, Just be aware that using microwave to cook or heat up food destroys the food's nutrients as the intense outburst of heat by moving the water molecules at high speed (that's what microwave does) in the food kills the life force within them.

I understand that microwaving isn't the best cooking method out there but I like to try new stuff so I can pass along tips to my clients and people who ask me about stuff they see at the grocery store.

My philosophy is that it's better to eat than not to eat so your metabolism stays on an even keel. Starvation is the enemy of fat loss. If a client only has time to heat up something quickly in the microwave for lunch or dinner occasionally, then they should.

Obviously, whole, fresh food is always the better choice but I try to work with what my client is willing to do instead of trying to force them to do something they aren't agreeable with. Over time they will go with what I advise but I gotta start with them where they are.

I can't imagine eating one of those Healthy Choice meals on a regular basis but a little research actually helps me in my job.

I've got your valid points.

In my household, we'd do away with the microwave for ... 5 years already, I think. We finally let it go at a give away price of just $18.

Angela,

No need to apologize. I feel awful that anyone feels like I am singling them out. I was not. Really just asking a general question. Like you I am doing the best I can to keep up so don't apologize. I promise I wasn't trying to point fingers.

Sabrina

Sabrina,
I thought your question was valid as I was thinking the same thing... you just got to it before I did. I am pretty sure Kevin said to ask... he has slammed me 2x, as what I have asked is in the material... it is just so much to digest... heard to get it all. Glad you asked.

First, I like the post. The microwave shouldn't be the "always" choice but comes in handy in a pinch and when you need something quick. I will definitely take a look.

Also, in reading the other posts, what was the question I missed? Sorry too if I am not keeping up. Do you want a post at both blogs? I tend to go over and then come back here to make the post.

Thanks

Jen

Sabrina,

Steaming is most healthy (but certainly NOT most tasteful!)
